Fuel can be a pain to acquire, but you can farm it quickly and efficiently at your base by setting up the equipment needed to farm Crude Oil. By farming Crude Oil, you will essentially have an endless supply of fuel!

This guide will walk you through the process of oil processing in Once Human, ensuring you have a steady supply of fuel for your vehicles and base defenses.

Locating Crude Oil

Once you have the above equipment unlocked, you need to move your territory to an area where oil can be extracted from the environment. This is the Red Sands oilfield that myself and many others have opted to build in.

One notable location within Red Sands is Blackfell Oil Fields.

Blackfell Oil Fields is one of the locations in Red Sands you can visit in Once Human.

Once Human: Efficient Crude Oil Farming Guide

Points of Interest in Blackfell Oil Fields:

  • Weapon Crate: You can find this weapon crate on a platform near the center of Blackfell Oil Fields. It will on the corner be near the tank.
  • Gear Crate: The gear crate can be found on the platform on the pipes.
  • Mystical Crate: You can find the mystical crate on a platform on the top of the oil tank. In order to get up there you will need to climb a fusebox near by and use that to climb over the building.

Setting Up Your Oil Processing Facility

To efficiently process oil, you'll need the following equipment:

  • Water Pump: Used to extract Crude Oil from the environment.
  • Fuel Refinery: Converts Crude Oil into usable fuel.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Placement: Place your Water Pump on land surrounding your base.
  2. Collection: Check in with your Water Pump regularly to collect Barreled Crude Oil.
  3. Refining: You then want to transfer the Crude Oil to your Fuel Refinery to have it turned into Barreled Crude Oil that can be used for refueling vehicles or turrets.

While farming for oil, be prepared for combat encounters with various enemies. Here are some tips to help you survive:

  • Butchers: Shooting the head will stun the Butchers easily.
  • Cervitaurs: Use fire or any DoT attack on Cervitaur will be super effective.
